Every part of our success is based on efforts from every member of our team, our associates and people who open-heartedly advise, direct and guide us. For 3 years we have met many outstanding people, and one of them is certainly Marcus Agar - a trained journalist, skillful copywriter, international communications specialist and accomplished speech writer from England. But for all of us who respect Tesla’s work, his most admiring role is the position of Associate Producer on the forthcoming biopic TESLA, the movie that will present the extraordinary life and work of this great scientist who made such a mark on the 20th century.
As an Englishman and professional in the area of public relations and international communications, Marcus has helped us shape our presentation in the most appropriate way in many different challenging situations. Being a frequent visitor to our country, Marcus has developed great respect and interest in Serbian culture and created valuable friendships, as well as business connections, since he has been working as a consultant on projects in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the last seven years. In addition to his diverse professional portfolio, Marcus also writes for his Wild Rooster blog on contemporary Balkan life.
“I enjoy the richness of the culture and value so many great friends there. They have shown me a warm welcome and I have learned a great deal about the history and people of the region. I started my blog to broaden awareness and increase understanding of the many positive aspects to contemporary life in Serbia. I want to turn the spotlight on those people who are making positive contributions to arts, culture and sport in Serbia and encourage people to look again at a fascinating country. I hope that I can open doors for people to learn something new about a modern country with a fascinating history, a rich culture and very welcoming people”, explained Marcus in the interview for Wannabe Magazine.
Due to his background and understanding of Serbian culture, Marcus is just a perfect person for the role of Associate Producer and International Publicist on the TESLA movie. His communication skills have been widely recognized through many successful communications campaigns for international brands, entertainment properties and NGOs. As director of Marcus Agar Communications, a communications and copywriting consultancy established in 2004, he engages in creating distinctive PR campaigns for clients coming from the area of film, publishing, broadcasting, tourism, banking and small business.
With Michael Anton as director, TESLA is a much-anticipated film, guiding the public through the life of a man who was ahead of its time, a great mind who shaped our present and whose theories will always be the core of our progress in future.
The movie about this thinker, scientist and humanitarian will be produced in the USA and Europe, and shot partly in Serbia, out of respect to Tesla’s origins. Actors from the USA and Serbia will convey the atmosphere of the lands in which Nikola Tesla lived and worked. With London-based Serb Branko Tomović as Nikola Tesla and Mirjana Karanović acting his mother Djuka, we are sure that this movie will rightly depict the life of this great man.
“Our reason for shooting in Serbia is out of respect for Tesla’s Serb heritage and to represent his story with authenticity. Tesla is on record saying that he was proud to be a Serb. So filming in Serbia was always a given. The people, language and locations of Serbia will play a key role in making TESLA the success that we all expect it to be”, expressed Marcus Agar.
For us in Strawberry energy, Tesla’s words are our guidance and inspirational power, providing a driving force for making the world a better place, as even in 1891 Tesla said:
“We are whirling through endless space with an inconceivable speed, all around us everything is spinning, everything is moving, everywhere is energy. There must be some way of availing ourselves of this energy more directly. Then, with the light obtained from the medium, with the power derived from it, with every form of energy obtained without effort, from the store forever inexhaustible, humanity will advance with giant strides...”
